Challenge
The COVID-19 pandemic has drastically changed the way consumers shop. One of the most critical trends during this period was the popularity of the “Click & Collect” service – online shopping with pick-up in-store. Customers appreciated the convenience and safety of this form of shopping, which led to its dynamic growth. Even after pandemic restrictions are eased, the service remains extremely popular, with forecasts indicating it will reach $154.3 billion by 2025. For 70% of customers, Click & Collect improves the shopping experience, which signals retailers to invest in modern technology solutions.
Solution
In response to the market’s growing needs, Cleveron, a pioneer in the automation of logistics processes, has partnered with Exorigo-Upos, a proven service provider. The main goal of the cooperation was to implement robotic parcel machines, which significantly improve the handling of orders in the “Click & Collect”.
Cleveron 402 is an advanced device that, thanks to its automatic sorting and dispensing system, allows you to pick up orders and return products in self-service mode. Receiving goods is extremely fast—it takes less than 10 seconds, eliminating the need to stand in queues for a long time and minimizing the risk of errors. This machine can handle between 100 and 3000 packages per day, making it highly versatile and adaptable to the needs of stores of all sizes and order volumes.
Implementation
Cleveron already has several Cleveron 402 robotic parcel machines in Poland, m.in in 9 Zara stores. In cooperation with Exorigo-Upos, a standard Cleveron 302 vending machine model was installed in the H&M store in the Auchan Piaseczno Shopping Center near Warsaw. With this solution, H&M has significantly increased the efficiency of its Click & Collect order processing, dramatically improving the customer shopping experience.
Summary
Cleveron’s installation of the parcel locker in cooperation with Exorigo-Upos brought a number of benefits to the store and its customers. Thanks to automation, the order pick-up time was reduced to a minimum, significantly increasing operational efficiency. Customers appreciated the speed and convenience of collection, which translated into a higher level of their satisfaction and loyalty to the brand.
Additionally, automation has allowed for better human resource management, relieving staff of simple tasks and allowing them to focus on more demanding duties, such as customer service or assortment management.
The collaboration between Exorigo-Upos and Cleveron is an excellent example of how innovative technologies can revolutionise retail. Automating click-and-collect processes not only increases store operational efficiency but also significantly increases customer satisfaction, which is crucial in today’s competitive environment.
