Digitization of fiscalization in e-commerce thanks to E-PARAGON+

One of the leaders of the clothing industry, selling both in brick-and-mortar stores and in the e-commerce channel, was faced with the need to organize the process of fiscalization of orders. With a large scale of operations and approximately 12-13 million online orders per year, even single, repetitive operational activities have a significant impact on the costs and efficiency of the entire sales process.

Challenge

Each online order subject to fiscalization was previously associated with the printing of a paper receipt. The document was created even though it was not used in further handling of the order.

For one of the leaders of the clothing market, this meant millions of unnecessary printouts per year, along with the costs of purchasing materials, operating equipment, logistics, and subsequent disposal of documents.

The company was looking for a solution that would allow this process to be completely transferred to the digital environment, while ensuring compliance with the applicable fiscalization regulations.

Solution

Exorigo-Upos has implemented the E-PARAGON+ solution, which automates the fiscalization of orders executed in the e-commerce channel and enables the generation of receipts in electronic form.

After the sale is registered, the fiscal document is automatically uploaded to the customer’s systems and then made available to the customer. The entire process takes place without the need to print a paper receipt and does not require manual intervention by employees.

The solution operates in a full outsourcing model. Exorigo-Upos is responsible not only for the day-to-day operation of the system, but also for adapting it to legal and technical changes. Thanks to this, the client does not have to follow new regulations on their own or involve their teams in updating the fiscalization process.

Implementation results

The transition to electronic receipt circulation has eliminated the printing of fiscal documents for approximately 12-13 million online orders per year.

In practice, this means:

  • reduction of costs related to paper, operation of equipment, logistics and disposal of documents,
  • simplification and automation of e-commerce order handling,
  • reduction of manual tasks,
  • relieving the client’s internal teams in the area of regulatory changes,
  • reducing the amount of paper waste generated.
