– Implementation of integration with LeaseLink
Introduction
LeaseLink is a leasing fintech that provides solutions enabling B2B customers to quickly and fully finance their purchases digitally, directly within the purchase process.
With rising sales in the B2B channel, more and more e-commerce companies are seeking flexible financing options for their customers’ purchases. Integration with LeaseLink allows you to offer operating leases, loans and deferred payments directly in the purchase process. For customers operating on the Magento 2 platform, we have developed and implemented a dedicated payment module that automates the financing process and expands the store’s sales capabilities in the B2B segment.
Challenge
Companies running online stores in the B2B model face several significant challenges. With larger orders, the barrier is the high initial cost, and the lack of native checkout financing makes it difficult to decide to purchase. An additional problem is the manual handling of leases outside the platform, which prolongs the process and affects its convenience for both the customer and the organisation.
The aim of the project was to create a solution that would increase conversion in the B2B segment, simplify the purchase process and automate the handling of financed orders. It was also important to maintain a consistent UX, fully automate order statuses, and ensure compliance with accounting processes, including VAT and company data.
Solution
The answer to these needs was the creation of a dedicated LeaseLink Payment Module, which extends Magento 2 with financed payments and integrates them directly into the purchasing process.
The implementation covered several key areas:
- New B2B payment method – the solution has been made available only to business customers with a VAT number (NIP), with automatic validation of company orders and integration with Magento checkout.
- Real-time financing – the module allows for dynamic calculation of financing offers and presentation of instalments on the product page. The customer can choose an operating lease, a loan or deferred payment.
- Product widget – a widget presenting available financing options has been implemented on product cards. Its appearance and embedding location can be configured, and the use of caching improves the solution’s efficiency.
- API and webhook integration – the module synchronises statuses between Magento 2 and the LeaseLink system, automatically updating orders at subsequent stages of the process, such as submitting an application, accepting, signing a contract, readiness to ship or rejecting.
- Advanced configuration – the solution allows you to define cart limits, exclude selected products and categories, control delivery methods and configure VAT.
The integration has been prepared to avoid interfering with the platform’s core, ensuring the solution remains scalable and easy to maintain.
