What is invoice fiscalization, and how do we perform it?
Fiscalization of invoices is a term that appears more and more often in discussions of entrepreneurs, especially those using online cash registers. Although it may seem complicated, it is worth understanding it well – invoice fiscalization is necessary to ensure compliance with tax regulations. Let’s take a closer look at what fiscalisation is, who is obliged to carry it out and how to do it.
What is invoice fiscalization?
Fiscalization of invoices is a process in which the information contained in the sales invoice is registered and sent to the Central Repository of Cash Registers (CRK) via an online cash register. This data becomes available to tax authorities, which allows them to control settlements, m.in. VAT is more effective and prevents financial fraud.
Who is obliged to fiscalize invoices?
It is worth knowing whether the fiscalization of an invoice for the company also applies to you. Fiscalization of an invoice is registering an invoice on a cash register or a fiscal printer, which is obligatory, for example, when selling goods or services to people conducting business. Invoice fiscalization ensures that the transaction is correctly registered and taxed. This process is similar to the fiscalization of receipts, but the difference is that it applies to invoices.
And since we are talking about the fiscalization of receipts, it is worth having at your disposal a program such as E-PARAGON+, which digitises after-sales documents and enables the digitisation of various types of documents, not only receipts: e.g., confirmations of returns of goods, deposits, and invoices.
How to fiscalize an invoice? Find your system
It depends on what tools and systems your company has. In the simplest terms, the fiscalization of invoices can be carried out directly or indirectly – that is, you manually enter information from the invoice into the system, or an online cash register or similar software generates a fiscal report containing information about all issued invoices. This report is then sent to the CRK.
It is worth considering a system that will guarantee the fiscalization of each transaction received – such as SmartHub e-fiscalization. The modular SmartHub system for e-fiscalization will allow you to document and report sales. How?
- Fiscalizes sales on fiscal printers – i.e. 100% following Polish law;
- It provides e-receipts and simplified e-invoices;
- Issues and delivers VAT e-invoices;
- Reports receipts and VAT invoices issued for registered sales;
- Exports fiscal daily reports (very important!).
The more a good, proven program does for you or your employees, the lower the risk of errors and the higher the level of savings from automation.
